New players are always welcome to join the Tennis Ladder by simply writing in their name, phone number and e-mail address at the bottom of this list posted at the tennis court or by calling Bill McGill at 972-3712 or e-mailing him at philbillm@aol.com. Eligibility: age 21 & up, with a relationship to LOW. Beginning rankings were taken from those existing at the end of 2003, with new players added to the bottom of the list as they join the ladder.
To play a "challenge match," call a person ranked no more than six places above you and arrange a time that is mutually agreeable to play at the LOW TENNIS COURTS. Challenger provides a fresh unopened can of USTA tennis balls.
Match winner takes - or keeps - the higher rankings of the two players; and the other player takes - or keeps - the lower ranking of the two players. Match winner should call results immediately to Bill McGill at (972-3712) or e-mail Bill McGill at philbillm@aol.com, for Ladder to be updated daily (when not available, as advised, please make changes on list at the court under the honor system).
"No-ad" scoring must be used unless both players agree to using standard scoring. (See "RULES" on separate sheet for further explanation of challenges and scoring).
